“For me, Young Creatives gets to the heart of the matter. It gives young people the time and space to explore their own ideas and I find their openness and creativity inspiring.”
Sir Richard Alston, Champion of U.Dance and Young Creatives

“The experience I’ve had on the Young Creatives programme 2020-22 has been incredible. It not only gave me a platform to showcase my choreography, but also gave me the opportunity to meet, collaborate with and share feedback with like-minded people. I’m grateful for the regular support of a mentor throughout the creative/rehearsal process, who provided me with a range of techniques to help shape my vision for the piece and to guide the dancers through it. As well as this, we discussed the importance of communicating in a collaborative yet authoritative manner in a leadership role, always questioning what could be interpreted by the piece and in being boldly decisive with what we choose to leave on the stage. I can’t recommend applying for this programme enough!”
Nina Grindley, Year 2 Young Creatives 2022
“Being part of the Young Creatives programme was one of the best things I have ever done. I completed the two-year programme with a newfound love for choreography and collaboration and a completely new outlook on the creative arts industry. The programme has given me the confidence to believe in and be proud of my creative ideas.”
Jasmine Ainley-Kaur, Young Creatives 2022
